Equipping the Next Generation of Youth Leaders
WHY SHOULD I APPLY?
To gather next-generation leaders and begin creating the friendships, community, and shared sense of purpose that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.
To promote unity with respect for diversity among emerging church leaders, with the desire to strengthen relationships across Malaysia and Singapore.
To champion evangelisation and equip emerging leaders to “do the work of an evangelist”, as well as highlight Alpha as a tool for evangelisation across various contexts.
To fan into flame the Holy Spirit in the lives of emerging leaders and the Malaysian and Singaporean churches.
For connection and learning from experienced Christian leaders in both the church and marketplace, and to listen and learn from each other.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
Youth Pastors
Ages between 21 to 35, you are leaders currently leading in the local church with at least a few years of ministry experience.
You love Jesus and His church
A commitment to see the local church thrive and to cultivate true community on mission under the name of Jesus.
You are open to the Holy Spirit
A commitment to mutual respect and an openness to the work of the Holy Spirit.
You have a passion to equip and empower the next generation
A deep desire to identify, develop, and release the next generation of young people into their calling.
You are committed to evangelisation
Intention to run an Alpha course or support Alpha, or intend to do so soon. You are committed to exploring ways to reach people.
HOW DOES THIS WORK?
3 months long
Join us from June to August 2023 on this learning journey.
20 Youth Pastors
We’ll aim for about 20 emerging pastors and leaders in the cohort from Malaysia and Singapore, so that it’s not too big, not too small.
2 physical gatherings
We will gather twice physical in these three months which would be for the Launch and the Spiritual Retreat.
3 Zoom calls
Digital sessions will help tie our cohort together and keep us learning from each other at a distance.
Peer Learning
The cohort is based on learning from one another. This is a shared journey. You’ll be in digital and physical rooms with each other.
Sages and Mentors
We’ll bring in wise guides and seasoned leaders to share wisdom and experience for you as part of your leadership development.
