The Leadership Conference was held for the second time at the Alpha Hub in KL on June 10-11, where over 1,100 delegates from 28 nations across the Asia Pacific region attended.
During the two days, we had the great privilege to hear from various incredible speakers. One of the highlights on the first day was an interview session with YB Hannah Yeoh (Deputy Minister of Women, Family & Community Development) and her husband, Ramachandran Muniandy, who shared openly about their married life - the impact of her political career on their relationship, and the heart behind her book “Becoming Hannah”. That same night, we also had Ps Chrishan Jeyaratnam (Campus Pastor of Hillsong Perth) who gave an encouraging message on how God is calling us to victory in the wilderness of our lives.
Another highlight from the conference was having Sidney Mohede (Singer-songwriter, Network Pastor of JPCC, Ambassador of World Vision Indonesia) lead us in an uplifting and powerful time of worship on the second day. It was truly special to have Father James Mallon (Author of best-selling book “Divine Renovation”; Episcopal Vicar for Parish Renewal and Leadership Support of the Archdiocese of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia), not only on video this time but in person. He shared a powerful word about our invitation to partake in the beautiful dance that is found within the Holy Trinity and the importance of reliance on the Holy Spirit. He stated, “too often we reduce the doxology to God - with us. That we forget that God is - in us. With God in us, we can do far greater things than we could ask or imagine.”
All in all, it was an amazing time hearing people from all walks of life share their knowledge and experience. We hope that the delegates were refreshed by the stories and ideas that were shared during the event; and were inspired to be the change wherever they are.
